Stephen Coleman Jr. is a high-impact public speaker dedicated to leadership in the
public and private sector. With decades of management and leadership experience, he
brings a unique blend of authority and high-energy presentations to every event. His
mission is to inspire current and future managers and leaders with a message of
resilience to achieve excellence.
With 35 years in the fire service, including 21 years with the Auburn Fire Rescue
Department, Stephen Coleman Jr. currently serves as Fire Chief and Assistant Town
Manager for the Town of Auburn, Massachusetts.
A recognized leader in public safety, Chief Coleman is a graduate of Clark University
with a master’s degree in Public Administration and the UMass Donahue Institutes Chief
Fire Officer Management Training Program. He is internationally designated as a Chief
Fire Officer through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
An accomplished speaker and published author, Chief Coleman is frequently invited to
consult and present at leading conferences and municipalities across the country,
including Fire Rescue International. He speaks on management, leadership, effective
communication, team building, social media strategy, public information, media relations
and customer service.
